This cruse started in Seattle where we lived for many years. Its a fun city to explore if you have never been. I recommend you spend at least 2 days min.
I've cruised with Norwegian 4 times now. The first three were lots of fun and well thought out by staff. This 4th cruse was not good from start to finish. Embarkation was about 2 hours late and the whole ship was checked into the terminal before boarding began. Disembarkation was late as well, times to leave the ship were delayed and the baggage claim was a total mess. After about 45 minutes searching for our bags we found them in a back room at the terminal with about 100 other pieces of luggage. With all the delays, we missed our shuttle to the airport. After waiting about an hour and a half at the terminal the shuttle company send a extra bus to collect about 12 of us.
Once we got on the ship we realized,This ship was not ready to go. We were missing extras we paid in advanced of the cruse. There we no up to date records aboard the ship to confirm what we had paid for, and our printed itinerary's were not accepted as proof.
Problems we experienced during the cruse.
- The concierge app did not work first few days.
-Gym had no staff and most equipment did nor work right.
-Paid upgraded dinning was serving cold food, and all food came at random times.
-Service was terrible at bars and pool area. Where was the staff?
-We were competing with boat staff for seating while dinning and music selection at late night entertainment. I have never seen this before.
-Tours were a joke. Example, captains choice snorkeling in Mexico, water was filthy, could see nothing and food was not presented. My wife would not even get into water. -The hop off and on bus tours were oversold. If you goy off, you could not get back on.
We were told this is a training ship by the staff. If true, we should be aware of this when booking. This cruse should not be charging gratuities at full rate.
Cabin, -Door to balcony was missing seal and the wind howled at night, ..earplugs really! No cable first few nights. Calling package did not work the whole cruse. Front desk always had an excuse as to why is does not work.
lived here for many years.
did not get off boat.
Very nice port, we got off and walked around. Plenty to see at the port if you have never been.
Area overran with boats and filthy water. Included drinks and snacks, but only drinks were provided. Getting on and off the boat was extremely dangerous. This tour should never have been allowed to operate off the cruse ship dock.View All 74 Snorkeling Reviews
Big city, no way to see from port.
nothing to see unless you take an excursion. All excursions require a min 3 hour bus ride. Some required longer.
Don't bother with the audio narration when you buy an entrance ticket. The audio narration works off of numbered points around the fort, but the fort is not numbered. You get a map to try and figure out where to be for each section of the audio narration. Waist of money!View All 48 Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas Reviews
Ship sold us the Hop on and hop off bus tour, so we could select where to get off and explore. First time we got off, we discovered you can not get back on. Buss is always full. We spent most of our time standing in the sun on the sidewalk waiting for a bus that had room. There were lots of other people trying to get on at the same time so if you did not push your way on (dog eat dog), you would not get a ride. You can buy tickets at a point of interest for much less then you can buy them on the bus.View All 367 City Tour Reviews
Bus ride was good and we had about a hour and a half to have lunch where ever we wanted. This was a bus ride only. Food is not included.View All 168 City Tour Reviews
