So my boyfriend's sister and her husband booked this cruise last year and very last minute (about 2 months prior to setting sail) my boyfriend and I decided to pull the trigger and book as well. This was my first cruise and first time out of the country so I really had no expectations, but let me tell you, MY EXPECTATIONS WERE FAR EXCEEDED. Upon booking, we were just so lucky enough to get a room two doors down from my boyfriend's sister and her husband. The whole process of getting on the ship was smooth and took no longer than a half hour. We brought bathing suits in our carry-ons, anticipating that we wouldn't be able to receive our luggage right away. We changed and went directly to the pool and had pre-paid for our gratuity and drink package. The very first day, I met a girl who was from a town my Aunt and Uncle live in in Florida and we bonded immediately. She also just so happened to share the same name as my boyfriend. We we're inseparable the rest of the week. That evening, they joined us for dinner at The Tropicana Room where I first tasted the Salmon Tartare (I ate this every night for the rest of the week). After, we went to a comedy show, H20, and Bliss. This would become the schedule after every dinner. The second day, a day at sea, my boyfriend won "Mr. Sexy Legs 2018" and OMG you should see the video! He absolutely killed it and that set the tone for the rest of the cruise. Everywhere we went people would scream "Hey Mr. Sexy Legs!" or "Hey Mr. New Jersey" or simply screaming his name and wondering what we would be doing the rest of the day (i.e. where we were eating, were we doing excursions, were we going to the club later).

As this was my first time out of the country, it was amazing to wake up in a different port every morning. We got so lucky with the weather! No rain, barely any clouds, SUNNY AND HOT just the way I like it. A couple days in, we paid extra for the Cirque and Dreams show and dinner. The dinner alone was worth the money. Prosciutto, tomato and mozzarella with a balsamic glaze that was so good we ordered more. Followed by filet with shrimp, broccoli and parmesan wedge fries. IT WAS DELICIOUS. After dessert was served, the show began and we were mesmerized.

We did two excursions, an ATV ride in Costa Maya, Mexico and Jolly Roger Snorkeling in Roatan, Honduras. I've never done either and had so much fun while also being able to get a closer glance at the countries, as we had to drive a little to get to the excursions themselves. Totally ok with that, we didn't travel for more than 25 minutes for each. We had more leisurely days in Harvest Caye, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico and it was the perfect balance. Regardless of what we did in each port, we always came back at went to the pool until about sunset. We would then get cleaned up, meet at the same bar, MIXX, and make reservations for dinner. We didn't wait more than a half hour and sometimes were seated immediately. My boyfriend and I both work in the restaurant industry and were both very impressed by the service and quality of food. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this trip. I had so much fun and my boyfriend and I have already decided we're going to try and book again for next year. Everything was incredible from the ports, to the food, to the cabin, to the entertainment, WE LOVED IT ALL! Thank you Norwegian Getaway for a vacation neither one of us will ever forget!
