The cruise was very good, and the roundtrip LA to La Alaskan cruise was a very easy choice as no airfare for us. The visit to Glacier Bay was spectacular, and perhaps will not always be here to enjoy. The ship is very clean and comfortable, and the staff overall are wonderful. The food choices and meals were very good in both the any time dining rooms and the buffet. The fresh fruit at the buffets all meals were absolutely delicious. The entertainment choices in the Princess theatre were all very entertaining, and the lecture series were informative and timely for the Alaskan experience. Our cabin steward was efficient and made us feel special by his friendliness. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly, much better service than is the norm shore side.

My only issue was the $250 Art department prize that I won that was not a prize!! The $270 bid on an artwork that was part of an edition was accepted, and this was listed as a CP category which includes shipping and frame. CP was explained to me before the auction and this was partly why I bid on the item which I did like and I would have been willing to bid a bit more, so $270 seemed like a very good deal. When I went to the Art Department to pay for the balance on my bid, I was told that my prize only covered about half of the package, and they told me I was responsible to pay for the shipping and the frame. I thought A PRIZE IS A PRIZE, so why was my $250 not good for the full $250 of the certificate. This is my cautionary experience to you.

The cabin was clean and very quiet, and we felt no motion of the ocean even though it was an inside forward. The seas were calm overall, so mother nature did cooperate. The bed was very, very comfortable.
