We booked this cruise to see Australia and we did. Prior to boarding the ship we spent a couple extra days in Sydney and toured the Sydney Opera House. We arrived at the Circular Quay before the check-in time and waited around to board. Surprised to find there was no place to sit. Embarkation was very well organized and ran very smoothly. We were checked in and onboard by 12:30 pm but the cabins weren't ready. Head to the buffet and learned the cabins were ready around 1:15. Luggage service was great as we got our two bags quickly and were able to unpack most of the bags before the compulsory emergency drill. Seating at the dining room was very uncomfortable. We were assigned to a table of 10, that shouldn't have been there as it was right in the way of the door coming out of the galley. When the wait staff walked by with the heavy tray their hand will inadvertently brush the top of whoever was sitting on the outside of the table's hair. Sitting on the inside of the table the wait staff would reach across one's face to serve because there is no room. We should have asked for a different table but we enjoyed our tablemates. The ship docked in Albany on Good Friday and everything was shut down. The traffic was pretty congested throughout the major ports, i.e. Sydney, Melbourne, etc. I felt like I was back in the States.

Around Australia.

Cabin Review

Interior
Cabin IA A440
This interior cabin seems to be smaller than other Princess ships. Very limited closet space in the closet and one side had a built-in slide-out wire rack drawers. Luckily, we brought enough magnetic hooks to help ease the insufficient hanging hooks problem. Our cabin attendant was attentive and courteous.
