Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

We picked this cruise so my husband could see Hawaii without having to spend 12 hours in a plane. The 9 sea days were a draw as well.

The Good: Housekeeping and Wait staff were wonderful. Jon, our cabin steward was one of the best we have ever had. The head waiters, Renzo & Hector took wonderful care of my husband with his gluten issues and prepared special (off the menu) treats for us as well. The kitchen had some issues making omelettes for the MDR, but our usual breakfast waiter Errol did a great job of managing it all and keeping us entertained. The food overall was very good. We had wonderful weather as well - no rain at all.

The just OK: The ship is showing her age. It is kept very clean but finding a public restroom can be a challenge, They are hidden and not in obvious places. There is no thermal suite like the newer ships, but the spa area had a quiet adult pool and hot tubs with saunas and a steam room (when working) at no charge. When people were not parked in the small hot tubs for hours on end, it was nice to relax there. Towels seemed to be an issue - many days there were none to be found.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MD

The cabin was clean and comfortable. The furniture showed its age and the couch was very low. Glad no one had to sleep on it. The balcony was a nice size and received full sun, which was nice. The tables and chairs all were a bit lopsided and you had to get them just so to sit in them. The bed was wonderful to sleep in - so comfortable.
