My husband selected this cruise as a gift for me. It was the best!!! I ate too much, drank too much and met some great people.
The Ship, Allure of the Seas, met all of my expectations and in some cases exceeded them. My cabin was clean. I did not like the twin beds - I would suggest a mattress topper over both beds in order to remove the uncomfortable center line. Dining was always a treat! The food was phenomenal!! The veggie fried rice (yes, a simple dish) was the absolute best I have EVER had!! The grilled chicken dish from the American Icon was mouth watering. My husband and I would have cookies and coffee every night - the Wind Jammer had the best coconut cookies. We went to the comedy show - truly funny!!! My husband said I was laughing louder than anyone!! I had a great time and I did not have any alcohol on that day. The Aqua show was great! We went to the gym on four different days. After running the track we would just relax on the back of the boat near the track - a beautiful experience. I met some great people during our excursions - We met a man name Showtime - friendly, knowledgeable and polite- this was in Nassau. St Thomas was the most picturesque - breathtaking views from the top. I look forward to my next trip with Royal. Our only issue was the medical facility. My husband, who still thinks he's 20 decides to play basketball with some of the younger guest. Needless to say, he sprang his ankle. We went down to the medical facility to have someone look at his ankle. Unfortunately it was closed - When it opened up at 4pm there were several people waiting for service. We did not know which area was the waiting as some people were sitting in the first room while others would go immediately to the second room. The attendants were not very friendly and truly not very helpful. We figured we would request an icepack and leave. We were given a bag and told to get ice from one of the restaurants. That was the only less than favorable experience. This occurred on Saturday - the day before departure.
We were on the 6th floor - balcony - ocean front - beautiful view and the room was clean. We did not like sleeping in twin beds that were joined together - it was not very comfortable - especially in the middle of the bed. I strongly suggest a bed topper
Our tour guide was Mr Showtime - He was very friendly and very knowledgeable - We had a great time -
