We were very disappointed in this Trans-Atlantic cruise. It seemed like all aspects just missed the mark by a little. The cabin was crowded, the entertainment venues were not large enough to seat sufficient passengers, the food was bland, though of good quality. Most was overcooked. There were only two "premium" restaurants aboard, and one of the two was no better than average. The other was good, but the "heirloom tomatoes" on the salad were not; and the "wild mushrooms" in the steak sauce were quartered button mushrooms. The Meuniere sauce was one teaspoon of melted butter. The entertainment was mediocre, and often repetitive, and the excursions were overpriced for the value received. What troubled us most was the lack of enthusiasm and joviality among the staff. Smiles were few, among staff, and among passengers. It didn't help that we had to skip one of our stops due to weather, or that the weather for half the cruise prohibited outdoor activities on deck.
Seemed small, with little storage for folded clothing. Was clean, and steward was reasonably attentive. The view, though partially obstructed, was OK.
Really enjoyed Lisbon. Used the hop-on hop-off bus to get around and ate great food at a marina-side restaurant west of downtown. Easy town to walk around.
Loved the Guggenheim museum and the pintxos (tatas) and other foods ashore. Wish we had 2 or 3 days there to explore. Too much to see and do for only a few hours.
