We had a great experience on the Seaside. The embarkation was very easy and quick. We would have preferred to be able to register our credit card before we left home but perhaps the MSC method was more secure. We had sailed on both the Opera and Divina before and thoroughly enjoyed them. Our balcony cabin was nice and our friendly steward did a fine job. We made our show reservations right when we got on board. With the help of a friendly employee it was very simple to do. The food was good with many choices. We liked everything we selected in the evenings. The buffet had many choices that were fine. We never felt it was too difficult to manage at the buffet. Very easy to get around and find a spot to eat. We did have a small problem with the dining assignment. We had reserved late seating but our cruise card said 7:15. As soon as we got on board, they sent me to the restaurant and it was easy to change. Unfortunately, our table for six only included four. The two ladies at the table did not come after the first night so we ate alone. We probably could have requested to be moved but we didn't. Our waiters were very attentive and friendly. I can't understand some of the reviews that are critical of the staff. Everyone was very nice. However, I do prefer anytime dining and wish it had been an option for us. The ship does not enforce the dress code which we think is too bad. It was disconcerting to see people in shorts and flip flops going into the dining room. I asked and was told the dress code was recommended but optional. So some people wore tux and evening gowns on formal night while others were dressed as if they were going to the beach. We missed the small classical groups in the atrium that appear on other ships. We enjoyed Trio Phoenix best. We did not care for the one man musicians or the duos. The shows were very professional. I had hoped there would be opera on the ship. Next time, I am going to look for one of MSC ships that offers more classical music and opera. This ship has the most accessible Captain we have ever had on any cruise. He was so friendly and approachable. We had signed up for Cruise Critic and attended a wonderful party. Marvelous hor d'oeuvres and drinks as well as cake made specially for the party. They even took a photo of the entire group. A copy of the photo was delivered to our cabin that evening. Disembarkation was very quick and easy.

Cabin Review

Bella Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

We had a very nice cabin with plenty of storage space. We always request a guaranteed interior room. We were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to a balcony room. The room was very quiet. It was convenient to get around the ship.
