We chose this cruise to discover World War 1 history. It included two excellent speakers, one of whom had written a book on Pashendaele, and excellent excursions with knowledgeable tour leaders.
The ship is small and cosy with extremely friendly staff. There were several ways of getting to the ship and we made our own way. Some did Eurostar, others flew and another group took the ferry.
As this was a relatively new cruise there were some changes. We did not have enough time to look around Brussels because our other visits were too long but only a few found this a problem.
Special mention needs to be made of the trips to Ypres, Tyne Cot and Mons as well as other notable WW1 sites.
The lectures and discussions in the evenings were very though provoking and added to our knowledge of this period of history.
The only disappointment was Antwerp where the guides did not follow the WW1 theme, and the weather which was no t kind to us!
