We wanted to see the renovated Pacific Explorer but with the negative reviews, were not sure what our experience would be like. However no worries at all, such a great 3 night Easter cruise we didn't want to get off. Embarkation was quickest ever, we arrived at our allocated time of 1.30 pm and were onboard swiftly. Absolutely love the way the ship has been renovated, so stylish, modern and fabulous furniture. Even although our cabin was not renovated it was lovely, the furnishings and design of good quality, well maintained and spotlessly clean. It was the smallest cabin and bathroom we have had on a cruise ship, but that was not important as we spent our time out and about, not in the cabin. We really liked the choice of venues for meals, as you have Angelos, Dragon Lady and the Waterfront to choose from. The Pantry was amazing also but was quite busy for breakfast so we had breakfast in The Waterfront which had a great menu, served really quickly. The Easter displays and themeing throughout the ship was amazing also the Easter Sunday activities were well organised on Pool Deck for the children.

Another compliment for P&O is their production shows, the best we have ever seen at sea. There was so much to pack into this 3 night cruise, two great production shows which we really enjoyed, loads of Comedy events at different ti es and venues, a White Party that we didn't get to, the Gatsby Night when everyone on board dresses up in Gatsby clothes and accessories and the main Atrium is themed Gatsby style with matching music.

We will go on another cruise on the Pacific Explorer and have a totally different opinion of P&O after being on board. Shame this Easter cruise is not available on Explorer for 2019, we would already be booked!!
