My first Royal Caribbean cruise had been on the Independence of the Sea. This boat was my second. Boy, what a mistake. If I had done the reverse order, maybe there would be some Saving Grace to mention. I had a 4-night cruise, and by the third night I was ready to go home. The staff was not as friendly as I had hoped. Although I had read the reviews from other people regarding the majesty, and I did know it was a smaller ship, I was seeing reviews that the staff was a super friendly little crew. Not true! Next, I understand this is a small ship, but if your average Florida house pool is larger than one of the pools on the main pool deck, there may be something wrong. I do recommend the main dining room to have dinner. But do not, I repeat, do not order the meals on the bottom of the menu that require payment. I had the surf and turf and I believe I received a plate that had been previously made two hours prior. The lobster tail was dry beyond all recognition, but the filet was still good. The main food that is for free is very good. I would also recommend trying the breakfast in the main dining room at least once. They cram together tables which are entirely too close together, but the food was good on day one, by day 4, the English muffins for my eggs benedict were hockey pucks. Just a warning for you. Highlights of the trip were the casino, Casino staff, and pool bar staff.
Decent sized room and a very nice sized balcony. The floor above us has the common areas plus the Windjammer. So above us, we could hear the sound of chairs and feet fairly frequently.
