Well, on day one we arrived and had to carry our luggage all the way to the room which we had to wait a long time for. We took a taxi and they dropped us at the back where we were met with Carnival staff that recognized we came in the back way and directed us to the a line where we got a red card which we gave to another staff member that checked us in and directed us to the metal detectors. We then asked where we leave our bags and were told that they couldn’t help us and that we must carry them until we get to our room, which we wouldn’t have access to until 1:30. And when I say carry our bags we use north face duffle bags to travel, so we literally had to carry our bags all the way through security, around the ship and to our room. On top of this we went to guest services to inquire about why this happened, we were spoken to in a cold tone telling us we should have read the signs. We explained there were no signs and she said she doesn’t give compensation for problems with baggage. We weren’t looking for compensation just an explanation. We explained this and were given one about laws and such. She continued to tell us she doesn’t give compensation for baggage problems, to which at this point we were frustrated and left. Another thing, we went for dinner and were already half way into our entree when another couple was brought to our table. It was nearly an hour into dinner service and the male was clearly drunk. We said we preferred to sit alone as politely as possible but had our dinner completely ruined and were made to feel bad about wanting to enjoy our dinner alone. Then yesterday we went to Aruba after two sea days of seminars where the shopping expert told everyone how great Aruba was going to be for shopping and all the great deals we would be able to get with his VIP card. Well it was May 1st and the shops where closed, so we couldn’t do any of the shopping we were promised. We and many other passengers didn’t find this out until the morning we arrived in Aruba. And the shopping expert had the day off so he couldnt answer any question about what he hyped up Aruba so much when we couldn’t shop there or be able to offer suggestions on Curacao. Fortunately, we had booked and excursion that when well for the most part. However, when we returned, the pier was locked and we couldn’t get to the terminal or off off the pier. Children were crying and had to urinate on the dock, while many adults nearly or partially urinated themselves while waiting. Someone found a broken part of fence and many people pulled it up in order to help everyone “escape”. It was a pretty awful end to a pretty disappointing day. Overall, my room hasn’t been cleaned well, which I have mentioned in passing to my steward but he just laughs and doesn’t seem to understand my dissatisfaction. Also the food has been pretty terrible. The food was most similar to cafeteria style food. It has been bland and dry most of the time and service in the dining room has been much lower that what I experienced in the past. When we finally did get our food it was cold or came on a sloppy or dirty plate. Many staff members seem undertrained or unprofessional. This is the majority of what I have to say, but there are many other little things that have not been great as well.

Also, many other passengers we have talked to have been displeased as well and have had similar results with staff and guest services. Many people look visibly unhappy which has just decreased our overall experience.

Our trip did not improve. It continued to get worse and our interactions with crew members were mostly terrible.

Ocean View

Cabin 6A

Disgusting. Not a lage bed. Two singles pushed together. There was a shoe under the bed, which we found when we were packing and didn’t belong to us.

Port Reviews

Half Moon Cay

No food. The tender was awful as well. So many fumes on the deck that it made it difficult to breathe.

Curacao

Told it was a walking day and that there would be a lot to do so we shouldn’t book an excursion. Walked around the whole area in about an hour.
