I love cruising and Carnival is my cruise line of choice. I try to do 2-3 cruises a year. I just returned from a weekend cruise (Apr 20-Apr 23) to the Bahamas. I traveled with my mom and my sister, 3 to a cabin. We have traveled this way several times but this time was awful. I usually get the sofa or bunk bed as the extra bed but this time it was what appeared to be a lawn chair without legs. It was described as a trundle bed but I have a trundle bed and this was not one. It is now two weeks later and my back still hurts. I literally slept on the floor...no cushioning, just the plastic weaving of the "lawn chair". Also the room was so tight we could not open a suitcase without putting it on a bed. There was not floor space even to walk except the hallway in front of the bathroom. So...if you book 3 to a room, on Deck 10, beware. It totally ruined my trip and I still haven't recovered. I have another cruise coming up in 3 weeks and I'm prayerful that the experience will be much better. If it weren't already paid for I would jump ship! I have to admit though that other than the sleeping accomodations the cruise was goid. The food choices are awesome. You have to try the Guy Burgers on the Lido Deck! Best burgers in the world let alone the high seas! Also the main dining is great too. The wait staff learns your name after the first night and make you feel like you are their only guest. The dining is elegant but you don't have to dress up. Just no swim wear, shirtless, etc. Also you can have as much as you want! You can have 1 of each entee, appetizer, dessert, etc. I gained 5 lbs on a 3 night cruise! I didn't do an excursion on this cruise but I have on many others. It is best to do an excursion because it is safe and you don't have to worry about getting back on time. I am looking forward to doing something exciting on the one coming up! Carnival truly is the "fun ship". The entertainment is top notch. Broadway shows, game shows, movies under the stars, shopping, etc. If I didn't have to sleep on what amounted to be the floor it would've been perfect but this time they fell way short! My next two cruises this year are with 4 in a room, (a quad) and they SHOULD be fine because we will have bunk beds...I hope! In spite of it all...I can't wait!

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8M

The cabin was way too small for 3 people. There was absolutely no room to walk. The beds had to be accessed by walking sideways and small, overnight type bags couldn't be opened anywhere other than on a bed or on the floor of the hall in front of the bathroom. There was no floor space once the 3rd "bed" was placed on the floor.
