This was a first-time cruise, and we chose Royal Caribbean for the destinations of Coco Cay and Nassau. We had two special occasions that we received little to no accommodation with: a wedding proposal and a birthday. Despite our requests, we did not gain any significant help from Guest Services and Photography to make these moments extra special. Also, on the evening of May 1st, $20 was stolen out of our wallet in the cabin.
Additionally, our van broke down during the Charm & Beauty of Nassau excursion. The tour started late, and was to run from 10:45 to 1:45 pm. Instead, it went on to take up a great part of our day, and ended at 3 p.m. Nassau shops closed at 6 p.m, and the weather was too rainy for the beach. This largely forced us to go back on the ship. We did not know that Coco Cay was to be cancelled.
One of two of the ports (Coco Cay) was entirely cancelled due to inclement weather. In sum, we were only able to enjoy any port of call for a total of about 5 hours. (On a four day trip!) We look forward to someday snorkeling the beautiful waters of the Bahamas, but will consider another cruise line altogether.
The cabin was clean and quiet. Due to staff entering and leaving the cabin unannounced, money and valuables should be locked in the safe at all times.
