This cruise was a convenient short cruise out of Paris. The ship was clean, well maintained and attractive. The lounge and sun deck had ample space for socializing and viewing the scenery.
The food choices were limited to chef's choice rather than a full menu at lunch and dinner, but what was served was delicious, plated in a lovely fashion and served with excellent service. Dietary restrictions could be accommodated. This cruise offers complementary wine and drinks which is a great value. The quality of the complimentary wines was so good that we never felt the need to upgrade to premium choices. Also, the complimentary wine varied at each meal to carefully pair with the cuisine of the meal. The breakfast buffet had a full variety of choices to suit any palate or diet.
The shore excursions were included in the price of the cruise. On this itinerary there was scenic cruising in the morning through bucolic villages in Normandy. Then there was an afternoon excursion. The guides hired for the excursions were all knowledgeable and passionate.
The room was very lovely with a light decor scheme. The large picture window in our cabin was compelling. We have generally booked a balcony room, but this design allowed for more space in the room and the view was completely satisfying. We never missed not having a balcony. You could enjoy the scenic cruising from your cabin, or in one of the public spaces. The bathroom was regular sized and a little austere but perfectly serviceable. The closet was very large and there were many shelves for storage. The bed was the most comfortable bed on a cruise ship we have experienced in the past several cruises. We slept like babies!
Quite a tourist town. The 2 churches and the park are worthwhile.
