My husband and I got married last year in the Keys then sailed for 7 days on Norwegian Escape. For our 1 year anniversary we choose another 7 day on the Getaway. That is my 2nd time on Norwegian cruise line and my husband has been a few more times. I have also sailed on Royal Caribbean. My opinion only, Norwegian takes pride in what they offer and it shows in everything from the staff, in the entertainment, to the food and drinks. I truly mean everything we did and everything we ate were by far excellent. I truly can't even find anything to complain about, if I did it would probably be the fact that the DJ at the Glow party and the 80's party was a little over the top with the entertaining and interacting, he liked to hear himself more than hear the music LOL but that's about it! One thing we are very disappointed in and we do believe we just didn't realize we needed to do this ..... we had the meal package, you get 3 specialty restaurants and we couldn't wait to get to Cagney's (the BEST restaurant EVER) but when we tried to make a reservation it was sold out every night all week long already. We tried everyday and still never got to eat at Cagney's.... very disappointed. So keep in mind to book the restaurants early before you even get on the ship. I didn't realize you could do so but apparently you can. We do feel that if you have a meal package you should get first priority somehow. Other than that it was truly excellent!
