Our first ever cruise was great. We loved the free style dining NCL offered and the entertainment on board was great. We enjoyed the complimentary shows. The complimentary dining options were fantastic as well, absolutely delicious. The shopping on board was very expensive - it didn’t matter that it was tax and duty free if the base price was triple the price on land. Only negative for me was that the no-smoking areas of the ship were not enforced whatsoever. Every night my wife and I had to walk through clouds of smoke to get where we were going because groups of people were smoking at the clearly marked no smoking bar or no smoking Casino. I notified staff and they didn’t do anything about it because the next day all the smokers were back and we had to walk through the smoke clouds again. Word of advice to any future travelers - do the self disembarkation where you have custody of your luggage at all times. We did the option where you set your luggage out the night before and the crew take the luggage off the ship but NCL lost one of our two bags. They did eventually find it a few days later and mailed it to us - but next time we will be taking our own bags off the ship. Overall the cruise was great and we will be back on NCL again one day.
