  3. Royal Princess
Our first time on a transatlantic cruise. Seadays were great. Lots to do on board. Service was excellent. So was our cabin. The front desk staff was especially helpful in changing our itinerary after bad weather caused the ship to divert from France to England. Every member of the crew was exceptionally helpful and pleasant to deal with. The spa and exercise facilities were first class. Food is good, not outstanding, but considering you are not paying top dollar, you can’t complain. Terrific selection of bars! Nightly enterainment on board was mostly extraordinary, with a few “OKs”. Shore excursions are terrific, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, too many “ugly Americans” who are rude and petty. Heard one passenger tell a crew member, “That’s not the way we do things in the U.S.”. Then stay home! The Royal Princess is huge (141,000 tons) and has a lot of passengers, over 3,000. Sometimes it feels like too many people, but it’s manageable. Very satisfied with the experience!
