This was our third cruise and first with Norwegian (NCL). It was the highest cost per person we had paid on any of our cruises.

THE GOOD

The best part of this cruise was getting to see Cuba and meet the Cuban people. The Ultimate Highlights Tour and the Hemingway Tour brought us easily to places we might not have found by ourselves and the a/c on the bus was welcome! The Cuban tour guides were interesting and thoughtful. We had a critic on my husband's blog that he would not go to a "Commie country." He doesn't get it. This was not government to government, but aptly named People to People. Think more Rick Steves--how this promotes peace and understanding to get to know people who live in other countries; and the Cuban people have not had it easy. My sorry attempts to speak Spanish seemed to be appreciated, and an older vendor at the Arts and Crafts building was very warm. We loved Cuba and hope to return.

Cabin BC

Don't do maintenance that affects your passengers!! Especially in their cabin where we go to relax. Address complaints in a professional manner, and not answer with harassment!

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

I love the beach, so a beach with frozen pina coladas, hamburgers, hotdogs, and cool turquoise water was fine with me. We brought our own snorkeling gear and had fun, though we only saw a few different kinds of fish. I think their Snorkeling Excursion may have gone to a different place where there were more fish, but I'm not sure.
