  3. Carnival Miracle
We chose this cruise because of price and timing for us as well as we had never sailed on Miracle. It turned out to be a great time for the wife and I. We have over 20 sailings under our belt and love cruising. We have done some other cruise lines, but always come back to Carnival. They offer the same things at a lower price. Why pay more? The Miracle is getting a little old now and probably needs to be revamped, but it still was a wonderful ship to explore. Lots of room, never did we feel crowded or had to stand in long lines for anything. Granted, there were not many children on board, and it was a little older crowd than usual. But we really loved the lay out of the ship and the ease in which to get around. Music and entertainment was top notch. Comedians were a hit and miss deal. Some did not know how to talk with kids in the audience. Cruise director was pleasant but not outgoing as some we have seen. Did enjoy time we had with him for questions and answer segment he did. Food on board was good and staff very attentive. Enjoyed steak house on last night, it was wonderful, highly recommend you try this. Room steward Agus was great and every worker we came in contact with was polite and friendly. Carnival did recommend not to book excursions off ship in Belize. But we had contact there. His name is Melvin Davis, his stand is at the end of the port. We had a great time with one of his drivers and enjoyed our day there. In Roatan, our dirver was Marvin Martinez. Roatan CustomTours.com is website that they are starting. Had a great time with him as he showed us around. Ate Cashew fruit for the first time. Did you know the cashew nut had a fruit that grows under it? we did not and it was delicious! Check it out! Will look forward to sailing on Miracle again. Port of Tampa was easy getting on, but crazy getting off ship. They have only one elevator which means waiting to get to bottom floor where customs and luggage are. If you can carry your own off, go for it! Stayed at Tampa Stadium Motel prior to sailing. Room and motel were very nice, recently remodeled. However, had problem with shuttle service which did not pick us up at port on return. Waited over 1 and a half hours, called three times. Was told they could not find us. Hired a cab which cost $26 back to motel. Bummer for end of cruise! Carnival does a great job and at a great price. Our number one cruise line!
