This was our first time cruising with Norwegian and we received the cruise as a gift. We would recommend this cruise for young adults mainly because of the open bar atmosphere. The ship was clean and well maintained on the outside, pools were always open and clean, but some of the restrooms tended to flood themselves out; this may be due to the passengers, not the crew or ship maintenance, but it still was a nuisance. The entertainment, music, parties, and shows were all above excellence! If you have time to watch every show, the dancers and singers were amazing and the on-board bands, instrument players were top-notch! Even the comedian was impressive! Our cabin was small for a balcony room and we only had a single door with a porthole window, so it seemed really closed off and lacked a lot of outside, natural light. We never even met our Steward; he had his name on a card on the first day, but never met him throughout the cruise. Our room was cleaned and turned-down during the day, but a lot of things were missed, we even had trash still in our room more than once and we had our towels taken and not replaced once. The main-dining room for dinner was outstanding, we really loved the fact that there wasn't a dedicated time you had to eat, we never had an issue with dinner. For the buffet, food was sometimes never warm or even cooked properly, the staff behind the counters always seemed like they were too busy and never looked up at the guests, and the food never tasted fresh. The wait staff for the buffet area were nice and very quick to clean and restock table supplies. We did not utilize shore excursions on this trip since we had already been to Nassau and we just wanted to relax for the weekend. We spent the tendered day by the pool-side when it wasn't too crowded and the pool was very well taken care of. Lastly, this is a cruise with an open bar, with that in mind, drink selections were also very limited (for instance, they did not offer Grasshoppers, which is one of my favorite pool-side drinks), and a lot of the other passengers were very disrespectful. I do not blame Norwegian on this, but it should be known that other passengers can ruin an experience for you as well. On our last evening on the ship, we returned to our cabin at midnight and tried to fall asleep; outside of our cabin, there were many other passengers yelling, screaming, laughing to loudly, running down the hallways, and banging on walls and other doors which kept us away past 3AM. There was even a moment during the night that it sounded like someone dropped a piece of furniture on the floor and the whole stateroom shook! Overall, if we had a choice, we would not do Norwegian again, but for anyone who wants to party for a week or weekend, it seems like a great value for the price.
