We choose this cruise to celebrate my son's birthday and the deal was good in my opinion ( kids sail free).

Embarkation was a breeze, but traffic getting to the port terminal was not.

We stayed on the inside cabin on deck 9 and the shampoo was completely out the first day, called the housekeeping ( long wait time on the phone) but did not get it refilled until day 2 even though they promised they will send someone over right away. Main dinning service was excellent, lobster, tiger shrimps were great! Loved the Mexican Chicken in the windjammer. Not a lot of varieties in the main dinning menu each day but we liked the service so we went back every night and did not try the specialty dinning. Did the character breakfast one morning which wasn't bad. I believe only Shrek and Puss were there. You can take pictures with the characters at certain hours on the promenade deck as well each day (Po,Alex,Shrek,Puss and King Julian). Tidal wave was awesome! (no matter how many times I get on, that first drop always gets me), I highly recommended it. Good variety of entertainment and activities to do as well. We did the ice skating and rock climbing. Bar service could be better. We purchased the deluxe drink package but feel like we always had to chase down the server or wait at the bar to get served. We pre-booked the shore excursions online when they have the deals and enjoyed every minute of it. The ports were Roatan, Costa Maya and Cozumel. Went to the Tag Heuer Boutique recommended by Adam ( Chanel 22 guy) and bought myself a nice watch. The Encore Ice show is not to be missed. Saturday night fever wasn't bad but probably not for smaller kiddos. Enjoyed watching "Darkest hour" "The greatest showman" and "The last Jedi 3D" at the theater (wish they had popcorn). There was a long line getting off the ship and custom but that's expected when you have 4000+ people trying to leave the ship.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

Went around the port to sight seeing. There is a dolphin discovery area and you can actually use their small beach area with chairs and pool (salt water) at the port if prefer. Drinks were additional cost. They have activities to do at the pool (water fitness and water ballon fight). Party atmosphere.
