The first thing that amazed me was how speed of boarding. It was almost an uninterrupted walk through the cruise terminal straight to the boat. (I'm glad I didn't pay extra for 'Faster to Fun')

The food was good... we keep it simple and healthy (salmon, salad bar, etc...) although you can 'lose control' and overload on fat and calories (many people do). I know from experience, it's way too easy to 'overdo' the caloric intake.

What I love most about Carnival is it's great for my 7 year old (it was her 3rd Carnival Cruise). They have an amazing cruise director hosting a Dr. Seuss show and EVEN a Cat in the Hat Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast. They have a small waterpark in the back of the boat; even in April it was warm enough for the little kids to enjoy.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6D

The window view is wonderful. Being on the left side of the ship allowed us to see Catalina Island and Ensenada when docking for the day. (The right side won't see the stops it seems).

The cabin was nice and clean throughout the day, and the beds are very comfortable. Our daughter loves her 'upper' with the ladder.

Ultimately, it's not the Ritz in terms of finishings, but the prices are so reasonable it beats expectations.
