Chose this cruise as had been in a cruise on the Ventura before and thought this would be similar, we found that the food was not as good as our previous cruise, in fact often the description of what the course would be was nothing like what arrived.and on several occasions even though we chose freedom dining and agreed to share a table, we had to wait at least half an hour to get into the restaurant. The excursions were very expensive and one particular one was very disorganised. If you went ashore on the shuttle bus when alighting there were many excursions to be had at at least half the cost of the ones organised by the ship. Non smokers who use an e-cigarettes had to use these where the smokers were therefore having to breath in smoke that they were trying to avoid. as these cigarettes only give off vapour they should have a special place to use them away from smokers. My friend who no longer smokes had to be with the smokers which l felt sorry for her after now being a non smoker had to subject herself to smoke.

The entertainment was ok but on a couple of times the show only lasted a half hour.The staff were very good, friendly and helpful, especially the cabin steward. We enjoyed the quizzes the line dancing classes, and the general musical entertainment , and found the library very useful. The cabins were well appointed, there was tea making facilities, a safe, hair dryer, plenty of bath sheets , shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and mini bar. Also a laundry service available . The cabins were serviced both morning and evening and a chocolate left on your bed in the evening.

The prices in the on board shops were about twice the cost of those at home. Read more
