This cruise was beyond disappointing. My boyfriend and I saved money for over a year for this trip and it was a huge letdown. About 6 years ago I went on The Liberty of the Seas with my whole family and it was a wonderful experience, nothing like being on The Majesty of the Seas. This boat was small, old, outdated, and way over crowded. Our room was tiny and the bathroom was just disgusting, not because it wasn't being cleaned but because it obviously had years of wear built up. There is clearly some type of piping issues with the ship based off of the smell and noises. Even the carpet was old. The ship rocked the WHOLE trip, on the Liberty I felt nothing. It was impossible to sleep with the rocking and all the noise. The Windjammer was packed at every time of the day. It was like being in the mall food court during Christmas time. The pools were small and also packed at every time of the day. There were only like 5 stores on the boat, the Liberty was like a whole shopping floor. I felt like there were no on board activities for us. Everything was directed towards either kids, teens, or old people. There wasn't much for two 30 years olds that didn't want to get hammered by an overcrowded pool all day. We tried trivia. It was in a small, over crowded bar, and the guy giving it had such a heavy accent that when we could actually hear him, we couldn't understand him. We tried going to one of the music shows in the theater, the singing was so bad that we left after 15 minutes. On the Liberty we were so busy with activities every day. We saw a Cirque du Soleil type act, figure skating, a Saturday Night Fever musical, and so on. On the Majesty we were bored and just trying to make it through to go home. Everything cost extra and was so expensive. Bingo cards, internet, pop, water bottles, ect. I had a $25 on board spending credit that was not applied. The only good thing I can say about this cruise was that all of the staff was very nice and the variety of excursions. The Sting Ray excursion and the whole Island of Coco Cay was great, but that was being off the boat. For the Discover Atlantis excursion (and probably all the excursions on Nassau) to get to our excursion everyone had to wait in a very long line in direct sunlight, cooking on the blacktop, just to get on the buses. It was horrible. A 45 minute excursion took hours just to get there. The excursion itself was great but the process was not. Based off of this experience I'd never take another cruise again.
