We chose the Panama Canal as a bucket list trip. I enjoyed the various ports which were all new to me except for Grand Cayman. We went kayaking in Cabo San Lucas, and zip lining in Puntarenas Costa Rica. The volcanos in Nicaragua were very neat BUT it was a long bus ride to visit the volcano for 10-15 minutes. We also did not have sufficient time in the little town of Catarina. A longer time in this port seems appropriate since all the excursions were a distance from the port. The food was overall fine. We never had a bad meal. The main dining rooms have the same menu. We tried 4 of the specialty restaurants and liked the Moderno Brazilian best. The calamari in La Cucina were excellent. We enjoyed having a concierge and butler. We did room service breakfast most mornings. The concierge made our reservations and excursions purchases so that saved us time. Everyone that worked on board tried to make it a nice experience and we did not have any problems with staff. Service was very slow in O’Sheehan’s. Service better at the specialty restaurants. It was difficult to find a bar server at the pool and sometimes at Spinaker Lounge. The captain is very personable. What I didn’t enjoy is that it felt like NCL nickel and dime you for a lot of activities...painting, bingo, deal or no deal,

Great itinerary. Lots of fun and relaxation.

Cabin Review

Family Penthouse with Large Balcony
Cabin SC 11020
Awesome cabin. We booked a larger cabin because we brought our teenage kids and it worked out great. I loved having the chaise lounge on the balcony.

The master bathroom is very spacious and the shower has several shower heads which was very cool. Loved the jetted tub with the huge picture window.

Master bed was very comfortable.

The kids’ beds were not as comfy. Both were hard and it seems like the linens were not as top quality as the ones used on the master bed.
