We've sailed with RC before and have always had an excellent experience. The ship is huge and it does take a few days to find your way around. Our cabin with a balcony was on Deck 6. We ate in the main dining room for dinner every night and had the breakfast buffet each morning. We thought the food was very good. We traveled with our 18 year old granddaughter (her first cruise). She had a great time, and will do it again. She used the internet package to keep up with her online classes and didn't have any problems at all. The entertainment was excellent. The service near perfect, even though this was our waitresses first cruise. We always feel so spoiled when we cruise. Everything is done for you. All you have to do is relax and have fun! Our stateroom attendant was Ryan Roberts. He did an excellent job of keeping our room clean, beds ready and funny towel critters on our beds each night.

Our cruise included stops in Haiti, Jamaica and Cozumel, Mexico. Haiti is absolutely gorgeous- at least from our point of view from RC’s private property. My husband and granddaughter enjoyed the zip line, saying the views were breathtaking. We rented one float mat and shared that. Our granddaughter paid to have a section of her hair braided into cornrows. The native girls that did the braiding looked bored and probably didn’t want to be there. My one reqret was that I didn’t rent a kayak. I thought I would be able to do that in Jamaica at the Dolphin Cove since it was included, but that didn’t happen. The dolphin experience (in Jamaica) was not as we expected. We booked through RC. A shuttle bus picked up a group of us from the ship. We traveled for an hour to our destination, then were told to stay with our group as the guide that came with us from the port took us through their mini zoo- I can do that at home. Then we waited for quite a while with a larger group for what, I don’t know, before getting in the water with the dolphin. “Swimming” with the dolphin lasted about 30 seconds. Then lots of posing with the dolphin for photos that were very expensive. The description of this activity included time at the beach, access to kayaks and a restaurant. We didn’t have time for any of this. On the way back to the ship we were hijacked to some little shop just off the highway that was tucked behind another building. They were expecting us. Don’t bother doing this excursion.

In Cozumel our shore excursion was with Fury Catamaran. We had an awesome time snorkeling and then time at their private beach. I wish our time with them could have been longer. The crew was very professional and fun. I highly recommend this excursion. Port shopping was good and then we spent time at Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D6

Loved having the balcony. I'll never cruise again with out having one! It was fun to watch all of the activities as we put into the different ports. We enjoyed having our own private outside space to get away from all of the other passengers and still enjoy the weather and views. We even had room service deliver our breakfast one morning and ate on our balcony - Perfect. There was plenty of storage for the three of us and more than enough hangers in the closet. Our granddaughter slept on the sofa bed - which she said was not very comfortable. In the evening, after the sofa bed was made up, there was not a lot of room to get around it and to the balcony, but we managed.
