We were a group of 12 friends that decided to go on a transatlantic cruise together. Norwegian Epic seemed to have everything we were looking for - lots of sea days, fun and interesting ports, good reviews on the ship's restaurants and entertainment and the price was fair. We also all live near the embarkation port - unfortunately we had to fly home since the ship wasn't returning to that port and that wasn't nearly as fun as the ship.
The ship was huge but we all got the hang of the layout quickly. We all had balcony rooms and I will say, the rooms were great! Bed was comfy - and we had more than enough storage. Bathroom layout was a little strange but we got used to it easily enough. The speciality restaurants that we went to were really wonderful - food was delicious and service was very efficient. We preferred Taste to Manhattan - the MDR... and really enjoyed the buffet. We appreciated all the hand sanitizing stations - they are available everywhere! The shows were so good - loved Priscilla, Queen of the Desert... the talent was amazing. Also enjoyed the smaller entertainment venues - comedy, magic, music. The staff on the ship were helpful and friendly.. the Cruise Director Andre was talented and so humorous..just an asset to the ship. We enjoyed the ports and tours - we scheduled them before the cruise through the ship and one we scheduled while on the ship... they were well worth the price and very enjoyable. My favorite was in Malaga - the Vintage Auto and Fashion Museum .. or maybe it was in Gibraltar - The Rock by taxi. It was my first cruise and I can say I am already looking for my next cruise.
Cabin was very comfy... plenty of storage ... bed was near the balcony and I think that made the room feel bigger.
we took the Hop On Hop Off bus ...
walked to and through town - very enjoyable
