We took this cruise for a chance to see the Panama Canal and all it's greatness.
We arrived late at night the day before our cruise and stayed at the Hampton Inn. We checked in online so our room keys were waiting for us. The Hotel was clean and the bed was compfy! We ate breakfast and took a taxi to the ship about 11am. The was no one in line, we went to the check-in counter, they took new pictures and we received our cabin keys. We only waited about 15minutes and our number was called to board the ship. After a little walk and an elevator we were in our cabin!
The ship is in great shape! The Crows nest is gone :( was only negative we found. The Illusionist and John Denver group were the best.
Our Cabin was great for the most part. It seemed to be alittle larger than a regular Veranda stateroom. The veranda is a little longer due to being on the Stern. The afternoons it was hot out on the deck (due to being in Central America). In the morning there was some debris on the deck (ash, a napkin or 2). Once the Stateroom was cleaned it was spic and span nce again, The A/C had issues for a few days so our stateroom stewards got us a fan. The on demand TV is a great addition, There are USB plugs on each side of the bed and on the desk. There was very little noise from the deck above. Only noise was at 6am when they put the lounge chairs back out for about 10minutes.
Izapa ruins and planatarium were fantastic!
