I feel like Royal Caribbean is more about taking your money than offering you a good experience. We paid for the extra dining package, yet at every specialty restaurant we went to we were charged EXTRA for certain items (like steak or lobster, or any 'specialty' items on the menu). We also paid for gratuity in advance, yet on every bill we were charged an EXTRA 18% automatically for gratuity!! The dining package is a joke! Also, the regular dining room closes early, so if you get back on the ship later in the day from excursions and want to see a show, you won't get dinner! Unless, of course, you pay additional for room service! The pools all close at 10 p.m. Sorry you're on vacation, you can't swim or relax. There is no where to eat on the ship past 9 p.m. unless you order room service (for a charge), or you want soggy pizza. Royal Caribbean loves your money, not you! The good points were: The ship is beautiful and very clean. Our gentleman who took care of our room was very kind and friendly. The ship is huge so the chances of getting sea sick are smaller. Here's a hint: You don't have to pay for any excursions, on the island of Labadee there's plenty to do other than paying additionally for over priced, 2-hour excursions! Also, if you can book a private resort like the Hyatt Zilara for the day (in Montego Bay) it's a MUCH better deal! And very beautiful with free drinks and fabulous, free food!

Cabin Review

Ocean View Stateroom

The cabin was spacious and very clean. The bed was hard as a rock and lumpy, the pillows were flat and very hard, difficult to sleep on. The towels and linens were clean and smelled fresh though. The carpet was surprisingly clean and not damp or sticky feeling like they are on some ships or beach hotels. Ample hot water. If you are prone to being hot natured, BRING A FAN!! The cabin gets really warm in the afternoon and evening!
