We have sailed NCL three previous times and liked it. This ship does not compare to others. There are 4,000 people on board and the staff are not customer service minded in any way. This includies dining staff, purser;s desk, operators, dining managers. I believe the staff feel anonymous and that what they do does not matter.. There is no hussle and no TLC. We had a problem with people smoking on balcony next to ours which came straight into our room. I had to call 4 times before anyone investigated. This included our cabin steward, the pursers desk, the operator and finally lattitudes guest services.
The lay out of the ship has very little outside space. Its hard to get a jacuzzi or a deck chair or even a seat or table in buffet. The shows are hard to get in to see. Most of the shows charge money. The Taste (main) dining room is below the casino with a large opening and is always filled with cigarette smoke.
If this had been my first cruise it would have been my last.
Weird bathroom set up.... no privacy with only opaque door for shower and toilette. I liked our balcony. Bed was fine.
