We were a little apprehensive before boarding as we had read some really bad reviews before getting onboard. We had cruised before with Celebrity Solstice, and we knew this would be a smaller ship, but it was clean and in very good condition. We could not fault any of the food we had, we ate in all the restaurants, the buffet on the top deck had a lot of options and we enjoyed everything we ate throughout the trip. There was one exception, the chefs table was terrible, we advised them of this, so hopefully it will be better for future guests. We did not eat in Sushi on five as that is not our thing, it would be good to have an Asian restaurant with more variety. Quisine where we ate 4 times was excellent, the food was different and very tasty. Service did fluctuate a little, our first night the server was excellent, other nights just OK. The staff on board were all very friendly and helpful, and our cabin was excellent. We did have a suite, so were unsure of the other cabins. However, we spoke to many people and everyone we spoke to did not have any complaints. We deliberately asked a lot of people their views on the cruise, as we wanted to compare those to the previous reviews we had read about this cruise and ship. We only got a few people that were not happy; one person was annoyed at the price of drinks, (when travelling, surely you would expect alcohol to be priced as it is? Certainly, it is a lot cheaper than a lot of restaurants we frequent). Another group of people usually travel on the queen mary, they found their cabins to be too small. However, everyone else we spoke with were happy with the cruise and accomodations. I guess people have different expectations, to avoid disapointment, you should look into the price of alcohol etc. so you know what to expect. Also check out cabin sizes, to make sure you know what you are getting. There were so many areas to sit, a lot of private areas, and it didn't seem like there were 2000 passengers on board. The lounges are all good, the movie theatre on the top deck also good. We only saw one show which was an American comedian, usually we don't like American comedians but this guy was so funny, we had sore faces from laughing. Other people we spoke to saw all the shows and seemed to be happy with them. Some were standouts apparently. The ship is a well oiled machine, and extremely well organised, disembarking was easy; (Indian immigration was done on board), so the whole process was efficient and not painless at all. We did book our shore excursions through the ship as we were unsure what to expect in India, they had a lot of variety of these. Other people we met did their own thing on shore, and also were happy with what they did. We also forgot to pick up one of our bags when we left the ship, (yes, very stupid), it was an additional bag we forgot about. We realised when we got to Dubai we had left it there, we contacted the ship, it was found and they have arranged to send it to our hotel. We are very impressed. So all in all, we had an excellent holiday, and we are looking forward to our next trip with Celebrity.

What a fabulous holiday!
