Great island. Love the people and the Mount Gay rum factory is only a mile or so from the ship. We did a bit of shopping and headed out to Accra beach for the day. We tipped the pool man at the Accra and he gave us a towel, chairs and umbrella for the day at no additional charge. Food and beverages are available, but a tad expensive. The water is great, all sand bottom and their were a few vendors, but none of the beach vendors to distract your leisurely snooze. 


Barbados

Another beautiful island, especially if you like steep hills and curvy roads. My neck still hurts from all the swaying back and forth. We used Spencer's tours and loved it. Our driver found several great breads made on the island and was a wealth of knowledge. 
We headed over to the Petons to see the volcano...not much to see really. The waterfall is a nice stop, too....and snorkeling off Joulouis Inn's: the snorkeling was great. I have been diving 35 years and saw coral in colors I had never seen before. You have to dive down about 20 feet for the best show, but it was spectacular. Also, plenty of sea life from squids to gars to barracuda and a moray eel to keep your attention. 
You will love the port on this island. It is very picturesque. Just be sure to leave time to get back if a lot of ships are in port...we had 4...or you could miss your boat (we were 45 minutes delayed in getting back) 


St. Lucia

We took the tour to Montserrat to see the volcano and the aftermath of the 1997 activities. Its impressive and worth the trip. 
When we got back, we dined at Johnny Rockets (over-ate is more like it) then headed out to Dickenson's Beach. Its a great place to rent chairs and enjoy a beautiful and relaxing day. We still have another 364 beaches to hit on this great island. 
You can also negotiate the rates. We found that 50% off the going rate was a good deal on the taxis. 


Antigua

We didn't do much but sit on the local beach and drink from Lizzy's--great deals and she is a charmer and very much a customer oriented business person. We rented chairs (with floats) and an umbrella. Still, without expending much energy, this was a great day. A bit too many beach vendors, but you can negotiate them down 30-40% off their prices to get a good deal. 
As for the rest of the island, we heard from others its a nice island to visit. 


St. Maarten

Okay, if you do nothing else, you have to be able to get out to the rainforest and see the beer drinking pigs (these are real pigs...big pigs at that). While I thought they should be downing Hamms, they still did a mean chug of the O'douls. The guide took us around the island and we saw some great views and pretty beaches and historical sites, but 3 hours on this island covers more than enough. This island is a bit more rustic, probably because the cruise lines stopped using this port for seven years and just recently came back. 
We ended the day renting chairs at the Sand Castles only about a mile from the dock. Its a nice beach, with a bar and restaurant, and the staff will take good care of you. But, reserve ahead since they only let a few non-guests to rent chairs. 


St. Croix

Our cabin was fine, really no problems to mention.  Did love the towel monkey, which I understand many guests did not get from their cabin steward.  Being on the 9th floor was nice and quiet other than a child running in the hall ever so often.

We did hit the ice show, which was very good, and the casino one night (too smokey on the other nights).It was great to watch the 1,000 or so people have a great time singing British classics.
