This was a girls trip for a group of moms who all have their kids in the same sport. AWESOME time had on a short weekend cruise. Getting on the boat first thing Friday morning of the day we were leaving was a good idea. It felt like we had three full days on the ship, not just two and a half. RC's private island CoCo Cay was by far the best part. Myself and 3 friends bought the bed excursion which was on the quieter side of the island. It was so relaxing. Only complaint about that was our cabana attendant got one drink order from us and disappeared. Thank goodness we were right by a bar and it wasn't a long walk to get another drink. I opted not to get the internet package because I had no problem being unplugged for a 3 night cruise, however I didn't realize that would also be the way my 28 person group communicated. Part of my group had the internet package and the other half just paid the international package offered by their cell phone carrier. When my friend and I called the group reservation line to pay the deposit and get our room, we told the agent on the phone that one of us had never cruised before and were scared of getting sea sick so please give us the best room he could. He gave us the very center room at the very front of the ship. Pretty much complete opposite of what we had asked. We heard each and every noise the boat made when docking or anchoring. We could also feel every movement the ship made. The room was yes small, but I wasn't really expecting a huge one being on a ship. The bathroom was also small. When I shaved my legs I had to wait until I was out the shower and then turn the water towards the wall and stick my leg in so I wouldn't get water all on the floor. The drain in the room could have used a good dose of bleach. It wasn't an unbearable smell, but every time you opened the door to go in there, that was all you smelled. The air conditioning on the ship was hit or miss all over the place. You had some places where you could feel it blowing and it felt comfortable, and some places there was no air flow at all. One other small complaint I have was the last night when you could pay cash for the sea card purchases you made during the cruise. They had 5 computers at Guest Relations and only 4 people working them. There was one man who would walk the long line of people waiting asking if there were any questions, but everyone was there for the same reason, to review and pay for their sea pass card. He could have helped on the empty computer to help move the line along. They also could have opened up the Excursion counter to help keep the line moving. Again, overall great trip! The cruise director and his staff were great! Our room attendant and dining room waiter and assistant were great!!

Port Reviews

Nassau

We got a taxi driver who was looking for passengers right when you get off the ship at the port. We told him we wanted to go to the beach, but not one where we would be haggled by people. He said for $15 pp there and back, he would take us to Love Beach and provide chairs and wifi. Well, the wifi didn't work as it was from his personal phone and had problems. The beach he took us to was about 30 mins away and he drove crazy. However, it seemed as though everyone drove that way. He did take us to a very nice little beach that had a small restaurant and bar and provided chairs, kayaks, peddle boats and jet skis if you wanted, for extra money of course. The chairs were very worn and torn, not fancy by any means, but def did what we needed them to do. We stayed out there for about 2 hours only because a storm was approaching. It was worth it after hearing some of our friends' experience on Junkanoo beach.
