Sail Date: Dec 2009

We were on the Celebrity Millenium from Dec 7th through Dec 18th. All in all it was a great time. We traveled with longtime friends. Our overnight stay in San Juan was good accept for the hotel. We stayed at the Old San Juan Hotel and they gave us a room next to the fitness center, the maid's closet and the elevator. It was very noisy most of the night and we didn't get much sleep. Our check in at the cruise terminal was easy. Our cabin was only so-so. We had a balcony room on the Panorama deck which they said had been refurbished. There was mold in the shower and on the shower curtain and the bedside lamps were corroded. I don't think they would have left it like that if it had been refurbished. The food was very good except for the dinnertime buffet. It always had the same things and it was not run very smoothly. The ports were great although it could be a little tiring being somewhere everyday. We booked tours online mostly. Only booked 2 tours from the cruiseline. Our tour in St Kitts was great. " Captain Sunshine Tours" was the name and Kenny, the owner, was very nice to deal with and his brother was our tour guide that day. He was very friendly and helpful. There was just the 4 of us on the tour so we did pretty much what we wanted to. We stopped for lunch at a beach restaurant and then laid on the beach for awhile. There were beds on the sand that were pretty cool and relaxing. We booked the tour online a couple of weeks before the cruise but an earlier booking would probably be better. I'm sure he is going to be in demand. In Barbados we took the Silver Moon catamaran cruise which was also wonderful. The cat was in immaculate condition. There were 11 of us on this 45' boat, we had a catered lunch which was great and had all the beverages we wanted. The crew was very professional and congenial.

We have sailed many times with Royal Caribbean, Princess and Celebrity and this cruise was among the best. It is good that Celebrity is going to open dining as we were on the second seating and 8:45 is pretty late to eat and 6:30 is early if you are out on tours of the islands during the day. The staff on the ship was very accommodating and friendly and tried to see to your every need. I would recommend this ship to my friends.
