This was our first time on Carnival. We chose this cruise because it was the closest port to home and we didn't have to spend money on airfare. It also fell right on our anniversary and was a super great deal for a 5 night cruise. Not any balconies on the Fantasy except for the suites so we had an ocean view stateroom. We bought faster to the fun and check in was a breeze. We thought faster to the fun was well worth the money and will try to get it again if we ever cruise with Carnival again.

Room: We were able to go right to our room as soon as we boarded and drop off any carry on luggage we had. The room was ready and looked good. It was clean and well kept. No stains on the carpet or anything. It was in a great location on the ship as far as being able to access everything. The only thing I didn't like about the room was it was right below the galley for the 2 restaurants above. I usually won't get a cabin under a galley, restaurant, pool deck, or nightclub. I decided to try this one out since I couldn't find a single review were people reported noise. I am an early riser anyway (4:00 am) so it wasn't a big deal but around 4:30 am every morning, there was lots of noise from above. Stainless steel dishes dropping, tables crashing together, and what sounded like a floor jack rolling crates of food around. I knew better, so it was my fault that I booked it...

Dining: Guy's Burger Joint, and the Blue Iguana Cantina, were excellent. We ate at one or both of these every day. The buffet on the other hand was super small and you could not reach 50% of the items because they were located behind the food in front and you had to ask a server to get it for you. The food was average at best, so not overeating at the buffet was not a problem. I had a reuben sandwich from the deli. The meat was like rubber and very fatty. The main dining rooms were good. I liked all of the meals I had. The macaroni and cheese was awesome.
