We decided to go back to NCL after many years not cruising. We enjoyed the freestyle perspective especially when it came time to dining in the regular dining rooms. We were never fans of the fixed seating (too early and too late). Be aware that when the masses converge on the Garden Café for buffets, it gets a little bit crazy. My some people’s behavior you’d think they hadn’t eaten in days! Our suggestion would be to eat at “off times” where there is open seating and avoid the 9AM breakfast and the 1PM lunch times. Our dinners at Cagney’s, The Orchid and Moderno were excellent dining experiences. The only exception is the hostess at The Orchid was a bit abrupt with us.
The ship was clean but on the sea days, especially the cold one, the public bathrooms could have used a sprucing up. Toilet paper and paper towels don’t belong on the floor. Our room (mini suite) was impeccable and our steward Keytut was always smiling.
We didn’t take in all the shows preferring to leisurely dine instead. Among our favorites was the 70’s music show and the comedian. We also can’t say enough about the Prism band, who brought the crowd to their feet every night with their amazing talent.
Unobstructed views from the aft, beautiful when the seas are calm. Remember in rough weather, you’re at the end of the waves. Some prop or engine noise even though you’re high. Also noise from moving chairs and furniture at the Great Outdoors dining area. The hallways were very quiet as there are only six cabins at the back. It was an easy walk to the aft elevators as well.
A bit rough to tender but once in the other side we had a great day.
Booked our own excursion and enjoyed this port. Would have sacrificed Great Stirrup Cay for a night in Nassau.
