I traveled with my husband, no children. We arrived in Miami the night before to explore. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. The area was cute but not alot of stuff to do. There was alot of construction and run down buildings in the area. The embarkation and disembarkation processes were a disorganized mess. We were hit with high pressure sales pitches for drink packages, spa days etc as soon as we got on-board. Our safe was malfunctioning when we entered the cabin, it was fixed after I waited on hold for over an hour for guest services to report this issue at the instruction of the guest services desk. I wound up hanging up and our room attendant showed up and he was able to call someone to fix it. Food was lackluster and uninspiring in flavor, variety and cooking quality. Some people at our table in the dining room had clam shells in their pasta. Some food was overcooked or not cooked enough and had to be sent back. Dinner in the dining room felt rushed. Crew and staff were nice and helpful. Labadee was full of sketchy people selling stuff. The lunch on the island was good but the ice for the drinks was in a open tub with no lid, people had to scoop the ice out with a cup and their hand and flies were landing on it. We missed Aruba due to weather but they took us to Nassau instead. The other ports were ok but nothing special. the casino had no smoking signs but people still smoked.. I have cruised with Royal Caribbean before and this trip fell way short of others. The boat feels tired and needs to be dry-docked and refurbished. The pools close way to early in my opinion and need to be cleaned more. Jacuzzi's were dirty as well. Deckchairs were extremely hard to find. People would reserve them and not come back to them for hours even though the rule is for 30 minutes. Movies played at night were good but were repeated way too many times. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. We had random charges for wine on our seapass account from the dining room the last night even though we ate at the windjammer and drank no alcohol that day. Staff removed the charges after i got hung up on once and arguing with the second person. The bus to the airport was overpriced and disorganized and the check in woman was short and rude.
