Arrived at the Port of Los Angeles at approx. 2:30 and practically walked right on and from there walked right into our room. Fastest embarkation we have ever had. The room steward, Romi, was very polite and professional. Room clean and well maintained. Even though the ship was off to dry dock, I didn't notice any wear except for the dining room and theatre seats. Some of the light fixtures were a little dated but the ship looked great. This was the first time we tried an interior room and it was good. We had to set an alarm to get up because we didn't have any light of course and there was no hallway noise because we were at the end of the hall. Value for the dollar in an interior room was exceptional. Never went to the extra charge restaurants because the dining rooms we excellent. Loved the quality of the food, portion sizes and selection. Hard ice cream and soft serve ice cream was available until the last few days when they ran out of soft serve (officially broken). The quality of the entertainment was excellent, didn't miss one show. Never had a problem getting a deck chair, only occasionally did some of my fellow travelers reserve chairs with towels. The worst part of the cruise is the Internet service. Time to get with the times NCL and embrace technology. Charging for the Internet by the minute is a rip off. It would be great to have better access to the Internet for more research on the next port or using Google to beat your buddies at Trivia. When will they learn that people posting about their trip on social media while on their trip is good for business. Get ahead of the technology. The staff were generally great and a few were even exceptional. Lots of updates from the Captain, more info the better. Didn't need the beverge package because we are not heavy boozers. Good selection of other beverages including iced tea, lemonade and flavored water (mango and straw kiwi), tea and coffee. Debarkation in the cruise ship capital of the world, Miami, was bad. Over 1.5 hours late. Official line blamed it on immigration but once we got to immigration we flew through faster than any airport. Took Uber to the airport, only $13 for 2. Outside transportation vendors $10 each and NCL $16 ea. The average age of this Panama cruise had to be 75 years old.
