We had a wonderful time on board of The Brilliance of the Seas, crossing the Atlantic Ocean from Tampa to Amsterdam. Our cabin was really nice and more spacious as we would have thought and was kept tiptop by the crew. Dining was really good (too good, according to the weight I gained.. and I did a daily work-out in The Gymnasium!!) Grace and Dmytro served swiftly, kind and patiently at our table and the menu was really superb, compliments to the Chef and his crew two.
We had some meals at The Windjammer Café and that was really good too, but sometimes it is hard to find a nice table.
We really enjoyed the entertainment on board. There was a 9 man band with 4 fabulous vocalists, lots of nice other live music during the day. Some shows, like the juggler, were not our cup of tea but other guests seem to have enjoyed these shows also.
Spacious cabin, real good beds and the bathroom with the shower did exceed our expectations.
We spend two days here. Went to Cork by train on the first day and visited the city center which was nice. The train stops at the cruiseterminal and takes you to Cork and back for only €10. From the station to the city center of Cork was a nice walk of 20 minutes.
The second day we made a nice bus tour across the island. The bus stops just outside the cruise terminal. It took about 75 minutes the bus was old and shabby but what can you expect for only €12.50. The driver was Steve and he was really nice, telling us all about the history of this place.
Nice port to stay for a day. We walked to the city center and were really surprised by the low prices for coffee and snacks in this part of the world.
