I chose this cruise as I wanted to embark close to my home and not deal with the hassle of an airport. It was a wonderful and easy process to embark on the cruise. Process was quick. The ship itself was beautiful and clean. My room with a balcony was well worth the extra money. Sleeping with the door open and listening to the waves is a calming experience i will never forget.

I was extremely disappointing in the availability of shows. From the moment I got on the ship, the comedy show was booked every show offering.I was told I could show up and wait in the line in case there was room. Unacceptable. The circus show had a fee to it. The other shows were "just OK". Professionally done but just not my type of entertainment. I did participate in a painting class and that was one of the highlights for me as I have never done that and always wanted to try it. $35 for an 8x10 photo that required a paper plate, a few dabs of paint and one plastic glove was steep however I found it fun.

The food in the restaurants was OK-nothing fancy. If you want fancy this is not the cruise for you. The buffet was a nightmare. CROWDS beyond your wildest imagination. Rudeness, shoving, dirty tables, cold food, no clean silverware etc. The quantity of food was there and yes it was convenient but I did not enjoy it at all for the aforementioned reasons. I basically spent most meal times at O'Sheehans as it was convenient and the food was good. It is a sit down place and the wait was not at all long. There is a language barrier all over the ship and many of the crew do not understand what is said and they cannot find the correct words to answer or explain something but that was only about 30% of the time. Most times I would get two of something that I ordered one of or when I ordered a grilled Ruben and asked for nothing but meat and cheese yet received a grilled cheese with no meat.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BB

The cabin was very nice with plenty of storage. The bathroom had adequate space. There was a stand up shower stall which was sufficient. The bed was very worn and uncomfortable. The pillows were wonderful. The balcony was small and barely fit two chairs on it. I do suggest a balcony room as the fresh air and listening to the waves all night is calming and wonderful. I wish there was an electrical outlet by the bed as charging my phone could not be done during the night and it i just a habit (with children) to sleep with the phone next to the bed. The location of the room was great! It was only a few steps from the elevator. I worried with it being so close to the elevator that I would hear people walking by all evening and night but i never once heard anyone in the hallway.
