WE LOVED IT

Review for Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Diamond Princess

This was our 20th Princess Cruise. We can't fault the Wait Staff or the Cruise Staff. Everyone was friendly and efficient.

We only went to the Dining Room once, which is normal for us. My Husband is a finicky eater and finds the Buffet more to his liking. The food was plentiful and enjoyable with good variety. We noticed more vegetables were available in the buffet, which we have commented on previously. Nice to see they do take notice. The Ship, as most of Princess Australia Fleet is looking a little tired but is still clean and efficient. We enjoyed the day time activities of Bowls, golf putting, cards, chipping in the pool. We didn't see any of the shows as we aren't late night people. We had been to most of the Ports before so new what to expect. We still think the tours are too expensive and the shuttle services are sometimes too expensive. In Vietnam the shuttle was $8 per person each way into town. About 1km.

We walked in and shared a Taxi with another couple for 20 vietnamese dong. Thats about $1-75 per person.

I wiped over the whole Cabin with Antiseptic wipes on arrival and several times during the cruise. I always get a cold or flu on the Ship. This time I didn't. We kept the temperature a little lower than normal in the room and (as always) washed and sanitised our hands at every opportunity. The initial wipedown found some hidden dust and dirt but nothing to complain about. The furnishings are looking a little worn but, overall, a usual cabin as per other cruises we have done with Princess.

Excellent service from our Cabin Stewards (2). One disembarked in Hong Kong.
