We went for a weeks cruise in a party of 16 including a 1yr old baby for a winter break on the 1st January 2010.

After a long journey caused by snow at the airport etc we finally arrived at the Island Escape around 9pm in the Evening. From the outside the ship seemed reasonably promising, sitting in a harbour with no other ships around it stood out quite clean and impressive. This was probably to do with the constant repainting job that gets done at every port but what you don't realise is quite how small this ship is compared to other 'real' cruise ships.

Once going through all the boarding card palava that happens with every cruise we finally arrived at our cabin/hamster cage...Our room was on the 6th floor and was an outside cabin with a window, rather than a wee porthole that other rooms seemed to have.
