This will probably be our last family cruise because of new jobs, colleges and other exciting adventures for our "kids". We wanted to spend one last time together, just the four of us, and decided that a cruise would be the way to go. I will always remember it as a great fun cruise, so anything that may seem negative in this review did not dampen the experience in any way, it is just my impression or opinion of things on the Sapphire.

We travelled by car, a full day, and stayed our pre-cruise night at the Vagabond Inn. It was a good choice because you can leave your car for free the week you are on the cruise. The staff was nice, rooms were okay and they have a free shuttle to the ship. I would stay again if we cruised out of San Pedro.

Our embarkment was the best we have ever had, nice, organized, speedy. We were on board and in our cabin by 12 noon. Our luggage was there by 1pm. We ate and explored the ship. All in all, good.
