This was our first time aboard the Oasis of the Seas and I was immediately stricken by the shear size of this vessel. The main promenade areas on decks 5 and 8 are wonderful, open spaces full of shops and places to eat. Of note are the Pizzeria and Cafe on deck 5, as these are open 24 hours.
There are an umpteen number of activities on this ship and I'm sure that I missed at least a few. However, the Flowrider surfing simulation is pretty fun and the zipline and rock climbing wall look great (did not get to try these).
The entertainment was also very well executed. We got around to seeing the water show, which was fantastic as well as the ice show which was also very well put together.
This was a....wait for it..... Spacious room. It had a Queen sized bed, a bunk bed (not a fold down, but a proper, fixed bunk bed) as well as a pull-out couch. The only thing that was slightly tight was the shower. It has hard doors on it instead of the typical shower curtain which slide shut and once inside, it's cramped. You'll notice it especially when you're trying to get soaped up without rinsing off as there's literally nowhere in there to escape the shower head. I'm only 5"8 and it was small for me. Otherwise, great room.
We love San Juan. I've been there many times over the years and still find interesting places to see. The food is great and the people of San Juan are very friendly. Most shop personnel do speak English if you're looking for help, so don't be shy about asking.
The city is full of rich history, wonderful architecture and loads to see and do.
It's a beach day extension of the cruise ship. Royal Carribean's little private oasis provides you with terrific beach amenities with all of the comforts of being on board. It's nice to visit a beautiful beach without being hassled to buy stuff you don't want, pay for your beach chair or spend extra money on food.
