Allure of seas embarkation was fast and organized with pleasant people directing you. Get a diagram of ship at check in as it is helpful to get your bearings. The front of the ship is the entertainment venues and the back of the ship is food venues. The boardwalk and aqua theatre are in the back with the sports deck ( flow rider, rock climbing wall. Putt putt golf,,ping pong). The boardwalk is were we spent the evening before our 3 year old grand daughters went to bed. It was wonderful to ride the beautiful carousel 4 or 5 times each night, let them play on a little crawl thru jungle gym and throw bean bags thru different holes for points. It was peaceful and calming and an endearing time for us. We are diamond members so got a little discount in ship stores so let the girls pick out a pet at sea to snuggle with at night. Reasonable and the staff person was very sweet to girls explaining about making the wish that goes in animal and getting a birth certificate for it. The aqua shows and ice shows were excellent and if you have smaller children the How to train your dragon ice show is a must and will mesmorize them. The pools open at 9 and saw the lifeguard save a 11/2 year old from falling into pool while mommy was too involved with her phone......pool towels are provided at pool and life jackets. The lifeguards really did a great job and were serious about their duties. There is activities and entertainment all over the ship just explore and use your daily compass. Mama Mia musical was super. Food is all over ship windjammer or Johnny rockets for big breakfasts, park cafe for bagels, muffins, cereal or fruit quick pick ups. Try them all out once and see which you like best! Also there are donuts and hotdogs available on the boardwalk. The main din8ng room MDR is the best and beat chops grill this go around for us. Our waiter Fernando and assistant Anne were the best we’ve had in over 20 years of cruising! Personality, friendliness , informative, top notch service! We like a nice comfortable relaxed setting not up tight dinners and it was awesome and the food we had was fantastic. Once you take a cruise like this there is no going back.

Labadee is the best port. Relaxing beach dat with two -three year olds. There is a little Waterpark open for the kids but ours wanted to swim and play in sand. Order in advance if you need any coverings, umbrellas etc as they will sell out. No charge for beach chairs. Workers will help you place and clean then and it is nice to give them a tip. Jamaica we’ve been to a few times so we enjoy the ship that day. Cozumel we just-shopped around but have taken taxis to beaches there and that has worked out fine too. The ship is now the vacation for us. Our grandchildren were disappointed not to see Poppy and Branch more as more popular now than other characters. The only disappointment was the photographers. With two three year olds it takes a minute or two to get their attention....in the same direction to get a picture and not one photopraghers were will to take more than two try’s at a picture and basically told us to move on. So. they need a quick class on how to get shy or children with autism need to get them to look up at something. A note on kids club. Our grandkids just turned three and pull-ups are not allowed in 3-6 age group so we payed for the lower age level babies and tots. Very reasonable and very caring group in there. Our children loved to cruise when young and now they are taking their young ones on cruises. It is for all ages and check CruCon rates as we have always been pleased with their pricing. We all agree after taking four different cruise lines that Royal Caribbean suits families the best!

Cabin Review

Boardwalk View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin B1

We have had rooms up and down this boardwalk and all great rooms. We prefer back end of rooms ( little more walking from elevators) as you can get a little bit of water view. There are late shows in aqua theatre so if you go to bed before11:00 you will hear noise from last show, but pleasant sounds! Note if on newest Oasis class ships the view is blocked by the two story slide.

Port Reviews

Labadee

Best stop. Things to do here if just relaxing on beach not your thing.

Falmouth

Find people aggressive when reaching town too stressful

Cozumel

Enjoy walking thru hand made items in craft shops and can easily take taxi to beach.
