The vibe of the ship was not for spring break or families. Cruise Director Adam said we "failed to do our research about the Miracle Ship" We had no idea this would not be the same as all the other many Carnival ships we had been on. The dining was so slow it was painful. It took over an hour from when we sat down to get our food or drinks and we were not finished until 10:30 pm most nights and when we complained. Adam said it was our fault. Really? He was rude and dismissive. He repeatedly shared how this Miracle only has kids 2 weeks a year and that is to much and he could not help us in any way. It was ridiculous to have him in charge and be so dismissive when we were cruising with a large group and have done so many times. He told us HIS priority was to the VIP's and people who have cruised 50+ times and not us. Well we are the next generation of cruisers, but we won't continue to cruise with Carnival if that is how we are treated!

There were very few "family" activities on this ship compared to other Carnival ships. He threw out it was Carnival policy, but when we pointed out it happens on other ships, he said well not on "my" ship... What does that mean? We were very disappointed there was not Karaoke in the late nights for family fun, nor was there a large movie screen out by the pool or anywhere late nights for us to get together. Sure there was comedy, but not appropriate for the younger crowd at a 9pm show. And all shows/events were only 30min Adam said we didn't do our research, but the cruise itinerary is not listed online of the day to day activities... so how would we know this would be different? Very disappointing, because I rarely complain and to be dismissed when I did speak up, it made me mad!

The ship had an odor to it.. Right when we boarded in Tampa I noticed it. Esp in the Casino. It was horribly smoky in that entire area.

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8M

The cabin cleanliness was so-so. There was a stain in my sink when I arrived and used my own clorox wipes to wipe it down and the stain went away.... We never saw our room steward.

All the services which are offered on other ships are not on this one. Ex: If you buy liquor and the ship "holds" it for you. It is your responsibility to pick it up yourself on the last day. No delivery service here. Also, beach towels are in your room and your responsible for them. The room steward does not replace them if they are wet. The person by one of the three pools was impossible to find. AND when you get back on the boat after port. NO one is there to give you a clean towel either! It was insane.

Port Reviews

Tampa

I took the transfer from the airport to cruise ship. The bus ride was not long, but we had no a/c on the bus. People were complaining. We sat in a ton of traffic to get thru one circle. There was no cops directing traffic and people were parked all over and we could not get thru. There were no signs giving directions.

Then when we arrived 3 baggage handlers/porters got on the bus and gave us a talk about tipping them. It was odd.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Beautiful shopping and beaches. We arrived very early and not many shops were open until much later. So we went to the beach first.
