Let me start by saying that we absolutely love Norwegian and the Escape has always been our ship of choice. This past cruise however was a bit disappointing. There were a few things that really stuck out to us and really prompted me to write this review. I'll start with the good.

Embarkation and Debarkation were a breeze. We arrived at the port at 11am and were on board by 11:15. At the end of the cruise we left our room at 9:00 and were in a taxi by 9:15.Our balcony cabin was beautiful and we had great service from our room steward. We did specialty dining at Teppanyaki, Cagneys and La Cucina and they were fabulous as always. No complaints there. The buffets were good and we ate at Taste and the Manhattan Room as well. All positive experiences. We saw some great comedy on the ship as well. Keith was absolutely hilarious and I would highly recommend checking out his show. We checked out Beau Tehana at the District a few nights and he was great. Very interactive and he played great music. Definitely check him out if you get a chance.

Now to the not so great. We have always loved NCL for the entertainment. This cruise was the worst we've seen. Our Cruise Director Scott was boring and awkward. Not much of a personality. He wasn't visible and was always very odd He didn't host the main pool game or a lot of the other games in the Atrium. We only saw him once getting off/on at port which I found odd. He never engaged the audience and without King or Terry nobody would have participated in anything. We've cruised with several really great CD's and he didn't even compare. Tyler Gray was always our favorite and seems that ever since he left the Escape the entertainment has suffered. This cruise also didn't do a lot of the normal Norwegian games that everyone loves. There was no "Miss Norwegian" and the sexy legs was also underwhelming. We typically love sitting and watching Karaoke as well and both nights that we went there were no singers so we left within 10 minutes.
