This will be an incredibly short review but I did want to post one because there have been some terrible reviews and this ship and staff do not deserve the lower ratings (at least not for this sailing - April 7-14, 2018). Yes, we were in the Royal Suite but the staff did not know that all over the ship. No matter who we encountered in any area of the ship, they were gracious and aimed to please. There were some language barriers for some, but a little patience can go a long way. We just asked for some staffers to repeat themselves and we understood exactly what they were saying. We spoke a little more slowly for them to understand us as well. They deal with so many nationalities. Sometimes, at first, they may not understand because they are trying to process what language we are speaking! Ha
Embarkation was a little busy when we arrived at 11:30a. There were many Yacht Club guests in line at the tent but it was handled as quickly and efficiently as possible. We were taken to the YC lounge in the port terminal where we were offered champagne or non-alcohol drinks and snacks while we waited to check in. I would say we were onboard and checked in within the hour.
Our suite was incredible. There was SO much storage. The bed also flips up to store suitcases underneath. The bathroom was terrific and the shower was the best we've had on any cruise and was even better than our shower at home! That rainshower was perfect. Two days before the cruise ended we walked into our suite to find that the maintenance crew was installing a large table and 6 chairs on our balcony. This was a wonderful addition. It was on the original plans but they had not received it in time to install before the initial sailings. We were happy to have had it for two days on our cruise. We didn't use the hot tub on the balcony as much as we thought we would. It was nice to have though. The bed was SUPER comfortable.
SUPER cabin with a very large balcony, ultra comfortable bed and the best shower at sea!
