Cabin: Family Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

After our first Oasis class cruise on Allure , we loved the concept of the different neighborhoods which did keep congestion down. Our favorite peaceful spot with least traffic was Central Park. So, we booked this one to try the newer version to compare.

Entertainment: we did NOT like the entertainment on Harmony as much as Allure. Comedy club was a great venue as well as the headliner. But after 34 cruises, these shows were not our favorites. With the ship only 2 years old - aqua show canceled due to technical difficulties and Columbus detained 20 minutes due to technical difficulties. At night Central Park was a great place to sit and listen to either guitar or piano music with the Trellis Bar close by.

Least favorite spots: We did not have children with us, so we avoided those areas designed for families as they were congested with lines. the Boardwalk was great for a carousel ride and to view outdoor movies. Deck 5 was the main area with shops and eateries - nightly dances/parades and events plus shopping crowds made it difficult to maneuver and get thru. Photographers also lived in every space they could set up and took over most stairwells to go up one deck, so you had to go all the way to the back or front to get up to Deck 6.

Family Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin FB

We had a balcony cabin on deck 8, our favorite deck due to the location of Central Park area. We could walk out anytime during the day for coffee/drinks breakfast or lunch. It was a quite deck with an efficient and friendly room steward. USB slots for chargers directly under the mirror for charging and more than adequate closets for our clothes.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

This ship docks at Crown Bay so a taxi is needed to get to town just to walk around. Not worth the price to us. so having been there multiple times before, did not go in. When we used to dock at Havensight, we walked to town and back.

San Juan

This pier is located right in old san juan so is very easy to get places on foot or at least to get to another mode of transportation. Many things to do and see.. shops and restaurants close by. Not to mention you can use your cell phones just as in US

Labadee

Spent the day on the beach.. did have access to free lounge chairs and found shade under palm trees.. Had a great burger at buffet as here they are cooked on open flame. many walkways to get around and clean restrooms.
